Tingchat aims at creating an intersection across language learning, culture exchange and silver economy, sharing wisdom and perspectives from our senior citizens, and making spoken language practice easier. We are proud to enable the senior citizens who might be just exploring the next exciting stage of their life, by utilizing their naturally possessed skill and engaging them with a wide and vibrant global community.

"Ting" is the Chinese Pinyin for "Listen" (听), while "Chat" sounds very similar to “Tea" (茶) in Madarin. Combining the two most essential skills in language learning - listening and chatting - Tingchat would strive to create a relaxing environment for all students and tutors to chat like old friends, while having a nice tea!
